A Silent Woman

She walked amid the crowd of people who are in the market. It was seen there are some people who talk about the woman, one of them said, “Look at that woman, she’s white and beautiful but unfortunately he had an unhealthy body that is fat”. They laughed out loud when talking about the beautiful woman. On the other hand, the woman looks with confidence to walk and spread smiles to everyone around her. Due to the nature friendly and polite that she had, a lot of people who love and appreciate her. She’s also a very hardworking woman. When she went home, she was not to rest directly. She did other chores such as sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, washing clothes, and helped her mother to cook.

After completing the homework, time for her to relax while watching her favorite tv shows that is cartoon. Because the fun watching, she did not know that her mother called her to make tea. It made her upset, angry and approached Yuanita by saying, “You are already 25 years old, but you still watching a cartoon, until I called and you didn’t heard,” turning off the TV is being watched Yuanita. She just looked down and apologized to her mother. “You are already adult but you never willing to change your bad behaviour, well you have to make a tea for me now”, said her mother. Yuanita replied, “Yes Mom” ??as hse walked into the kitchen.

The incident made Yuanita sad and upset with her mother. Because she never gave enough time to watch her favorite cartoon. She then went to the room with a scowl, her friendly smile was gone instantly, and the tears wet in her white cheeks. In her grief, she recalled the same incident a few years ago. At that time, Yuanita already developing strategies to regulate some of the activities that should she do to be able to watch her favorite cartoon. All things already well at the begin. But when 30 minutes after the cartoon began, her mother told Yuanita to help her who was cooking. Yuanita which is cool to watch tv ignores her mother’s orders, because she had completed all homework which she is responsible. It made her angry and turned off the tv being watched Yuanita. She was forced to obey orders to help her mother cook in the kitchen. Because if not, she will get mad and totally forbidden to watch her favorite cartoon. The incident is still happening until now the cause Yuanita lamenting his bad luck. Just to watch the cartoon was difficult and full of struggle.

Christy was the younger sister Yuanita. She’s 5 years younger than her sister. She has a slender body where it is different from the body of her sister. Christy always get whatever she wants from her parents quickly and without the sacrifices. She also could do whatever she wanted without any restrictions whatsoever from her mother. Therefore, Yuanita felt that her mother treated her differently and unfairly. However, she just could silence her mother’s response to all treatments. Because she’s not chatty like her young sister who always say what she thinks. All the events that make Yuanita a quiet woman, aloof, and closed.

When Yuanita was study, she lived with his uncle. She is free from the shackles of her mother who always gave this command and that command. She can do whatever she wants. She was able to watch cartoon as much without her mother’s know. This she did about 4.5 years. In college, she began a relationship with a man, john, from other campuses are 1 year older than her. He has worked in a factory as a laborer. He has a very strong religious knowledge and understand the unseen. Because of his knowledge, he did bad things, witchcraft, against Yuanita and the purpose is to draining Yuanita’s family money. However, what John did, it is out of Yuanita’s know. Time after time, Yuanita’s money owned by john used up to pay the rent, pay for motorcycle loans, pay debts, and others. And she did not feel that strange things. Because Yuanita loved him, she did whatever John asked without her parent’s knowing it.

After graduating, she began working and living back with her mother. Over time, Miss Alya started treating Yuanita well. She could do anything and watch cartoon as much time not only at her uncle’s house but also her parents’ house. Yuanita very pleased with the change in attitude from her mother. However, hse still remains closed to her family especially Miss Alya.

After a while, Miss Alya is getting treated yuanita very well. She often buys gold jewelry to decorate Yuanita’s body to make it look more attractive and elegant. However, every time Miss Alya told Yuanita buy gold jewelry, gold jewelry as often as it is also missing. Yuanita always give the reason that gold jewelry is lost on the road when Miss Alya asked. She also often took the money without their parents’ knowing it. Because of these, Miss Alya started to suspect something was wrong with her ??son. She began to investigate how Yuanita’s life outside the home. Because of her perseverance, she can find out what happened to her son. Miss Alya told her son not to touch with John. Yuanita agreed and was not related to John at the time. But, a few days later her gold jewelry was missing again and make her mother angry and upset. So Miss Alya initiatives her son to go to the chaplain and the paranormal to heal her son. However, it can not change the bad habits of her who always took the money and gave her jewelry to John. Miss Alya was surrendered to sensitize heal of Yuanita that do not heal. Seeing that her mother was seriously ill, Yuanita realized and began to change her bad behaviour.

Several years later, Yuanita met a handsome man, a white, hard-working, and good. The man named Michael. Yuanita undemonstrative love him. After a long acquaintance, Michael apparently harbored the same taste with Yuanita. He was applying for and invite Yuanita to get married. They lives happy ever after.

4. My First Boyfriend

When I was Junior High School, I knew him. Even if we didn’t ever meet, we were always sent a message each other with SMS (Short Message Service). He was a good boy, cared to me and funny. After a week, he asked me to be his girlfriend. At the moment, I didn’t want, because I didn’t love him. After some days, he asked me again but I rejected him. Then, he said that he would to go if I didn’t accept him. Finally, I forced to accept him to be my boyfriend, my first boyfriend, because I didn’t want he went, not cause I loved him.
Then, I told my friends that he was my boyfriend. All of my friends didn’t agree because they thought that he was bad and not suitable for me. They ordered me to stopped love him and broken off our relationship. I was confused. When I came back to home, I can’t broken off with him because I was aware that I was very love him. Finally, I passed this relationship without blessing of my friends.

Next month, he was honest to me that he had a girlfriend again. I was shocked, angry, peevish and jealous. I asked him to chose me or her. If he chose her, I would to go. But, if he chose me, he must go from her. I thought that he would chose her, not me. Then, he chose me. I was very happy and forgave him.

When I was birthday, he gave me a ring. I was happy. I felt nothing again that I want because I had him. Then, I passed all with happiness. Fortunately, we was a schoolmate. So, I can see him every day. He ever didn’t call me for a month because his phone was broken. But, I even with him.
After he bought a phone again, he sent a message for me. Finally, I can communicated with him. But, since that I felt that he was change. I felt he didn’t love me again. He loved someone. I saw him with a girl at school. He talked with that girl in front of me. When he sang at competition, he never look at me. When I went to home, he didn’t wait me again. When I got the first ranking, he didn’t congratulate me.

January 7th is his birthday. I bought a shirt as present for him. I forced him to meet. At the moment, he was very nice and cared to me. But, next night suddenly he broken off our relationship. He said that he can’t hold in with me. At the moment, I accepted his chosen. I let him go.

My heart was broken. He changed very fast. Until now I can’t forget him. I still love him. He taught me many things, about love, loyal and sacrifice. I can’t forget all memories about him. I want he come back to me. I still alone. I am hurt because of him. But, I can’t hate him. I hope he is always happy. I pray for his happiness. Maybe, a long of my life I’ll never forget him until the day I die. He is my first love, my prince.

3. Why the Sun and the Moon Live In the Sky

A long time ago, the Sun and the Moon were best friend. They had been best friend for a long time. They always spent time together, playing, laughing and just having fun. They were always happy together that their whole body were shining so bright. The Moon was like a little sister for the Sun. He always protected her and made her laughed. But little did he know that the Moon had been secretly in love with him. She admired him very much.

One day when the Sun and the Moon were hanging out on the top of a mountain, the Water walked by. She was so beautiful that she dragged the Sun’s attention.
“Wow.. Who’s that beautiful lady?.” The Sun asked the Moon.
“It’s the Water. She lives in the north.” The Moon said quietly.
“I think I like her.” The Sun said while smiling.
“Go get her then.” The Moon said while trying to smile when on the inside she was falling apart.
“Really? I mean, are you okay if I leave and talk to her?.” The Sun said eagerly.
“It’s okay, I’ll just stay here.” The Moon said reassuring the Sun. She just wanted her best friend to be happy.
The Sun then chased after the Water, leaving the heartbroken Moon alone on the top of the mountain crying her heart out.

After that day the Sun and the Water relationship were getting closer and closer everyday while his relationship with the Moon was the opposite, they grew apart. They barely see each other again. The Sun whose too preoccupied with his new girlfriend almost forgot his truly best friend. In the other hand, the Moon felt really sad and lonely that her light slowly faded each day. All she did was sitting alone on the top of a mountain crying, while looking at the sky where the little Stars dancing happily together. Everyday she always called for the Stars to bring her to the sky with them so she wouldn’t have to be alone and watched the Sun and the Water doing everything that she used to do with the Sun. But little Stars always refused to bring her to the sky because it was so cold there, and beside that if they brought the Moon to the sky, she wouldn’t be able to go back to earth anymore. The Moon couldn’t do anything so she walked home disappointedly when in the middle of the way she overheard the Sun and the Water conversation.
“Why do you want to meet her? Do you love her?.” The Water asked the Sun.
“What?! No.. Of course not. I love you, not her. She’s just a friend. She’s nothing.” The Sun quickly answered.
The Moon’s heart fall apart hearing those words. She couldn’t stop the tears that kept falling from her eyes.
“Good. You don’t need her cause you’re with me now.” The Water said smiling wickedly. She knew that the Moon was there hearing everything. She wanted to make the Moon broken. She was jealous of the Moon because the Moon was best friend with the Sun while she didn’t have any friend.

The Moon ran back to the top of the mountain and begged the little Stars to please brought her with them because she couldn’t take it anymore. Finally little Stars brought the Moon to the sky because they couldn’t bear to see her crying her heart out.

Day after day passed and the Sun started getting tired of the Water behaviour that was very bossy and annoying, so he went to visit his best friend that he really missed, the Moon, but she was nowhere to be found. The Sun panicked and started looking for the Moon to every place that they used to go, and when he went to the mountain he saw the Moon in the sky with little Stars. He was so sad seeing his best friend so far away from him. And he was even more sad seeing that the Moon wasn’t shining anymore, she lost her light. He then went to the top of the mountain and talked to her.
“Why are you went to the sky?.” The Sun asked sadly.
“Don’t you understand that I am so lonely, sad, and hurt?!! My very own best friend said that I was nothing to him. So what’s the point of staying when nobody wants you?!!. Can’t you see that I love you?!!” The Moon said while tears were streaming down her face.
“I-I’m sorry, I really didn’t mean it. I really miss you, I love you. Please.. come back.” The Sun said, looking at her with his glossy eyes.
“No, really. I love you. Not as a friend. I really do love you. But I know the feelings isn’t mutual. I just wish you to be happy with her. Good bye.” The Moon said still crying, then she faded away in the dark.
In that moment the Sun finally realized that who he really love is the Moon. He broke down and cried, calling for the Moon to come back. A few minutes later the Sun saw the Wishing Star in the sky so he called and asked the Wishing Star to bring him to the sky.
“Hey Wishing Star! Please help me, pleaseee!.” The Sun pleading.
“What do you want me to do?.” Answered the Wishing Star.
“Bring me to the sky with you.” Said the Sun.
“It’s so dangerous you know. I fly with a really fast speed. You might get yourself burned.” Explained the Wishing Star.
“I don’t care. Just bring me to the sky, please. I’m begging you.”
“Fine. But you know the consequence. Tell me to stop when you’ve reached your destination.” The Wishing Star said.
Then the Wishing Star brought the Sun with him, flew with a really fast speed that made the Sun’s body burned, full of fire. But he didn’t care. All he cared about was that he wanted to be with the Moon.
“Stop! Stop!.” The Shun shouted when he thought that he had been in the place near the Moon. The Wishing Star released him and continued to fly away. The Sun looked around, searching for the Moon with his now fiery body. He saw the Moon but she was so far away from him. The Sun flew away too far from the earth. He was about to go over to the Moon when he realized that if he went too close to the Moon, she would get burned because of fire on his body. So he canceled his intention because he didn’t want to hurt the Moon ever again. All he could do was watch the Moon from afar and shone her as best as he could so the Moon knew that he was there with her. Because of the Sun’s light the Moon is shining again and she was warmed by his love. Now we can see the Moon shining every night, brighten the earth. And every full moon, when the Moon is shining the most, the Water in the sea will tide. It was because the Water wants to reach the moon and drown her. She couldn’t accept the fact that the Sun had chosen the Moon over her. But however, the Water will never reach the Moon because she is high in the sky.

2. Undetermined Love

“Sometimes the first met wasn’t named as “love at the first sight” but in that time you would know how to feel the sense of that meeting. So love is a treasure.” – Putri Meilinda

Thursday, in school park area.
I pierced to that window, at that time exam have been done. There’s no announcement for holiday just because we was as the 9th grade so we did the exam firstly. I was boring, I didn’t know why. I felt that the clock walking very slowly. My classmates still only talking and enjoy their weird topic. They forgot that their friend I in here was nauseating to hear it’s topic, yes of course exactly me. I got from this small chair, then walking outside and I saw my teacher Miss. DH was busy to set the little newcomers plants. I thought it’s not really matter to help her then I asked my mates to accompany me to help miss. DH. Firstly, she didn’t want to do that indeed she’s very uncommunicative person. I stepped towards the and accosted her. “Morning Ma’am, I saw there’s so many newcomers plants, right?”. “Yes, because our school wanted to follow some cleanness’s competition. You gonna help me, weren’t it? Look! Your juniors were busy to put the pot and fill it with some flowers.” Said Miss. DH. Directly, I took one plant and with hurried put it into polibag and fill it with topsoil. Next, we took it into some position that have deserved. we already knew that our school was one of favorite and mild school so there was so many students that have high skills, ability and intellectualism in this school. I turned back from that position into Miss. DH. A glance, in here the condition was just as same as class, my brain thought. I saw some boys brought some big flower pot to move and fill it with new plant. Deliberated, I looked some girls screamed and amazed with the porter pot. “Ewh, it’s really damned” my heart spoke. Ah girls, they were so easy to be melted with the guy enchantment. My sarcasm’s thought have stopped. I saw a guy who I never met before. Was he a new student? Or he never went out of the class?. He walked forwards miss. DH and asked some question. I didn’t really hear what they were talking about. Truly, he was really handsome with his own style. My eyes followed his step and disappear when he got the last class. “Shinta! Hey. Let’s wash this hand, I felt so dirty” my concentration directly broke up when ulfa called me with her loud sound. “Wait a minute, did you see the guy?” I asked. “the guy? Who? There’s so many boys here shinta. Don’t be silly”. “That boy! He brought the biggest pot” I pointed at him. “Oh I see. Why? You like him? Haha” ulfa laughed at me. “No, I just amazed and…” ulfa cut my words then she mocked. “Don’t be a liar Shinta, I know what you feel” ulfa continued her word. “let’s wash our hand!” I screamed.

After that incident this noon, I thought of who was his name, his class, and why I so stupid about 3 years I never seen him and of course when I searched about him the result was nothing. Because that day was the last day to school before going to National Exam. Then after national exam there would be long holiday. The conclusion was I really regret. He was nothing for me but why I so busy to searched about him. Only with the five minutes moment I must stucked and changed become a detective to analyze every single life about him.
After some months, I could forget that incident. I could live with my ordinary life without the big question mark in my brain. As a blackberry’s user, internet, social media and bbm became my food. So, every second I always checked my handphone. One day I saw that my bbm contact was so minim then I asked my friend to promote my pin. At I thought that is just a joke to add contact. One by one I saw the name, then I found some name with a strange symbol. It was really weird and I didn’t want to accept it as my contact.
PING!!!
Someone with display Dicho Dickita Handoko tried to chat with me. Then I reply his massage with “yaaa”. He asked about my school, home and so do I. I was very surprised when he said that he was one of student in my junior high school. But we didn’t know each other. Next, he always chat me and talking about some topics that made me interest with him. He was really a humorist with his funny story. He cared to me like I’m her girlfriend eventhough we’re just in a “friendzone”.
The day went on, we were still in this simple condition. I know that I really like him, moreover without any real meeting I can put my heart into the person who far away. I was afraid, my relationship which failed in the past ghosted me. Then suddenly he ping!!! me again and asked who was my boyfriend. “I never have a relationship since 1 year ago” I replayed. He was very surprised and said “Hmm, I don’t know why every time I chatting with you I feel so comfort, you’re just like my mother. Truly, I love you even though we never meet before. Will you like to be my girlfriend?” I didn’t know how to replay this message. I nervous. I didn’t like his way to shoot me from bbm, so asked him to meet me gently.

Two days later, we make an engagement to meet in our junior high school. At 2.00 p.m we must arrived. My school’s bell rang at 13.45 and I knew that there’s no time to go home and changed my clothes so I went there with my school uniform. But at that time, the street to go to that school was so crowded and there’s a traffic jam. I guessed that he would be angry with me because I came late. After I arrived there, the weather is rainy and every student have already went home. I didn’t see him. I texted him and there’s no replay. After five minutes my phone rang and there’s a message from him. “sorry I can’t wait for you. You’re late and the weather is so cold so I decide to go home”. I regret with myself. Why I must be so silly to wait for him?. My uniform have already wet and dirty. My eyes couldn’t stop the tears that came out from my eyes. Suddenly in my sadness, there’s a boy who stood In front me and gave a handkerchief to me. I don’t know who his name then he looked at me deeply. “Are you shinta sylvana?” he asked me with a beautiful smile. “Yes, I am. Who are you?”. “I am the guy who texts you everyday, give you some joke in the midnight and shot you last night.” He answerd. I looked at his unform and name tag. Yes he was my boy, Dicho. Then he continued, “hey, Do you want to be my girlfriend, the girl who looked at me when we’re in the park, setting the newcomers plant, and hate the girls who screamed at boys?” I was very surprised and couldn’t say anything. He was the pretty guy. I didn’t replay his words. I shaked my head which it was the code that I received it as my boyfriend. He hold my hand and then said, “Don’t cry anymore. We’ll happy ever after just like our newcomers plant”.

1. Just The Way I Am

“Sorry, but we need a taller person, Miss Tanners,” said that young lady.
“Our shop has tall shelves, so we need a taller person to work here,” she added.
I can understand that,
“Well its okay, no problem. I’ll try to find another part time job.”
So, I walked to my home. It was Saturday evening so I thought I did not want to go home earlier, so I change my direction. I went to my friend’s house, Gina. She always made me feel better.
Gina opened me the door when I got to her house. She was surprised because I did not tell her before, that I will go to her house.
“Andrea, what’s up?” she asked
“Nothing I just being refused from the Lucky store, because I’m not tall enough to take a thing from their shelves,” I said.
Gina looked at me. I know I might look miserable, because she knew that it was not the first time for me to have been rejected from a job that I applied.
“Oh, honey,” she said.
“Wait a minute,” she added then she went to her kitchen and came back with a cup of tea.
“Here, drink it. It will calm you down,” she handed me the tea.
I drank the tea and feel a little comfortable. I sighed,
“Well, it is not my first time, so I can handle it,” I said, more like talked to myself.
Gina hold my hand and said, “You know, you always be my brilliant and great best friend I’ve ever had. You are special, Andrea.”
I smiled, “Thanks Gina, you are my best friend. You know, I always feel comfortable with myself, but sometimes, you know, sometimes I have an imagination if I were a taller girl. I mean, it will make me more confident. I can get, more friends, part time jobs, got into my favorite school and…,” I was shy for saying the last word. Gina looked at me and smiled,
“And?”
“And boy…” I was so shy to say the last word, because, Gina knew that I fell in love to a boy in campus.
“So do you really fall in love with Kevin Kettering, huh?” Gina Asked me.
I was embarrassed, but yes I fell in love with Kevin, my new friend in campus. He was so handsome and always treated me nice. He never said something bad about my posture and always acted like I was same with other people. So I told Gina about my feeling,
“Yeah, I fall in love with him, but you know, he always had a beautiful, smart and tall girlfriend,” I know I even looked more miserable now.
“Hmm you know what, Andrea? Yesterday my mom brings me a magazine, and I found this advertisement, about a medicine which can make you 5 cm taller in every single month,” Gina said.
“Really, what’s the name of the medicine?” I asked excitedly.
“Well, I forgot it, but wait, let me see, I think I placed the magazine in this room, this morning. Wait a minute”. Gina was looking for the magazine
Around the room, and yelled,
“There you are!” She went back to the couch and sat next to me, she started to open the magazine.
“Hmmm, I think the advertisement is in the page 5, wait! Ahhh, here it is!” She yelled and gave me the magazine.
I read the advertisement. It said that this medicine can made someone 5 cm taller in a month. If this medicine really worked, I would have a chance to be Kevin’s girlfriend. So I thought I would buy this medicine.
“Thanks Gina you are my savior! I’ll buy this medicine,” I said and hugged her.

It was a nice Sunday afternoon when I decided to go to a drugstore to buy the medicine that Gina had references me. There were only three customers in the drugstore when I got there. I waited for 5 minutes, till the shop keeper called me and gave me the right medicine. When I got out from the drug store and wanted to went home, someone called my name and he was standing behind me,
“Kevin!” I was surprised.
He laughed at me, so annoying but he was very handsome.
“Stop laughing you stupid!” I yelled, pretend that I was angry. He tried hard to stop laughing, and asked,
“What are you doing here?”
“What do you think people doing in the drugstore, huh?”
“Ok, ok, so you are buying medicine, right? Are you sick?” he asked and looked worried.
“No I’m not sick, it’s just vitamins. I have to go home now. See you later!” I did not want him to know that I was lie.
So I went out from the drugstore, but Kevin holds my hand,
“What?” I asked,
“Well, actually I got a difficult assignment and I am wondering if you can help me,” he said.
I was thinking for a while and thought that it would be another beautiful evening with him, so I told him that tomorrow evening at my house will be okay.

Kevin came to my house the following evening, he looked gorges. He wore a black tight shirt and blue jeans which really fit his body. I felt so embarrassed, because I just wore a very usual T-shirt and skirt that was made me look worse. We went into my house, there were my parents sat in the living room and watched television,
“Good evening Mr. and Mrs. Tanner,” Kevin greeted my parents.
“Good evening, Kevin”, said my mom. “So, are you guys going to work on your assignment together again?”
“Yes, mom, he asked me to help him,” I said.
“Well, why don’t you make two cups of hot chocolate, it will help you relax when you find that the assignment is difficult,” said my dad.
“Okay, mm Kevin, you can wait in the balcony, I’ll go there in ten minutes.”
Kevin was waiting for me in the balcony and was very excited when he smelled the hot chocolate, so I gave him his cup. He drank it,
“Thanks, it is very delicious. You are the best Andrea,” he compliments me.
I was so shy, but I tried to calm myself down by drank my hot chocolate and tried so hard to sound as relax as I can when I said,
“You’re very welcome.” Kevin smiled, and that made me fly.
“I will play the music,” I walk to the table near the balcony and played my CD compilation. We like to listened music while we did an assignment.
A nice song from MOCCA ‘I Remember’ was the first song, which would accompany us to do the assignment.
Thirty minutes left and we got bored. Kevin started to asked so many questions, from the silly one like,
“Do you still take a bath with your rubber duck?”
I looked at him and said “Yes, I do.”
Then he continued to asked more questions, until he came to that serious one,
“Andrea, what actually did you buy in a drugstore yesterday?”
I was confused. I did not know what I had to say. I had never lied to him before, so I decided to tell him the truth, even though it was hard.
“That was, emm that was a medicine that can make me taller in a month.”
“What?” he was shocked. He shakes my shoulder, as if I was not conscious,
“But why did you buy that? What for? I just can’t understand this. Why Andrea? Why?” he asked me.
“Well, oh my god. How should I say this?” I asked myself. I did not know what I should say to him.
“Tell me, Andrea. Just tell me the reason.” He begged.
“Well, actually this is all because I’ve been rejected from Lucky store…”
“What? Is that really your reason to buy those kinds of drugs? Oh my god I can’t believe it.”
No! I haven’t finished my words! Well the real reason is because I love you Kevin. I really want to be with you, but you always with those s*xy and tall girls, oh my god.” I was so shy and finally I cried.
Kevin startled. He looked at me and hugged me. I did not know what I should do, so I just cried and laid on his chest,
“Sshhh… don’t cry, Andrea. Don’t make me sad,” he said.
I just nodded. On this night I wanna swear that I will always be there by your side… The last song from my CD, I do from Ten2Five was on now.
“Do you know why I always asked you to help me with my assignment, Andrea?”
“Why?”

“They are just my friends. Well, maybe they want to be my girlfriend, but me, Kevin Kettering is always want you to be mine, you are amazing just the way you are, Andrea,” he looked at my eyes again.
I looked back to his eyes and I found the truth. It was like he said, I do love you, Andrea. I smiled and he smiled too, THEN he kissed me.
“I love you too, Kevin.”

Jenis-jenis Kata Kerja (Verbs)

Verb atau kata kerja merupakan kata yang menunjukkan adanya aktifitas ataupun menunjukkan suatu keadaan/kondisi (go, occur, sleep, want).

Jumlah kata kerja di dalam bahasa inggris ada banyak sekali. Dan pada kesempatan ini kita akan membedah jenis-jenis kata kerja.

Kinds of verbs :

1. Berdasarkan bentuk

• Present  

Pada bentuk present ada dua jenis kata kerja yaitu Bare infinitive (V1) misalnya Do, study, be, put, go, dsb. Jenis kedua yaitu Additional infinitive (V1+s/es) misalnya does, is/am/are, studies, goes, dsb.

• Past (V2 / kata kerja bentuk kedua)

Pada bentuk ini kata kerja digunakan untuk tenses pada dunia past, misalnya saja did, studied,  put, wrote, dsb

• Participle

Pada bentuk ini juga terbagi dalam 2 macam yaitu Past participle (V3) misalnya done, been, studies, dsb.  Jenis keduanya adalah present participle (Ving) misalnya doing, being, studying, putting, dsb.

2. Berdasarkan perubahan

• Regular verb

Yaitu kata kerja yang perubahannya beraturan.
Contoh :
- call -> called -> called
- amaze -> amazed -> amazed
- smile -> smiled -> smiled
- hurry -> hurried -> hurried

• Irregular verb

Yaitu kata kerja yang perubahannya tidak beraturan.
Contoh :
- arise -> arose -> arisen
- choose -> chose -> chosen
- get -> got -> got/gotten
- kneel -> knelt -> knelt

3. Berdasarkan kedudukan

• Ordinary verb

Ordinary verb adalah kata kerja murni atau bisa juga dikatakan kata kerja yang memiliki fungsi paling pokok dalam sebuah kalimat.

Ada 2 jenis ordinary verb, yaitu transitive verb (kata kerja yang membutuhkan objek) dan Intransitive verb (kata kerja yang tidak membutuhkan objek). Contoh kata kerja transitive adalah eat, drink, have, love, hate, read, write, lend, send, give, dsb. Sedangkan contoh kata kerja intransitif yaitu sleep, swim, cry, sat, go, came, stand, run, dsb.

Sebenarnya, transitive verb dibagi lagi menjadi dua jenis yaitu monotransitive dan ditransitive. Begitu pula intransitive verb masih dibagi lagi menjadi 2 jenis, yaitu complete intransitive verb dan incomplete intransitive verb. Anda bisa mempelajari lebih jauh lagi mengenai hal ini pada pelajaran khusus yang membahas mengenai Ordinary verb.

• Auxiliary verb

 Auxiliary verb adalah kata kerja bantu atau kata kerja yang mempunyai fungsi membantu pembentukan karakter tenses dalam sebuah kalimat.

Auxiliary verb ini masih dibagi lagi menjadi 2 bagian, yaitu Primary Auxiliary dan Modal Auxiliary.
Dalam pelajaran kali ini saya hanya memberikan garis besarnya saja mengenai jenis-jenis kata kerja (verb), jadi kalau anda masih ada yang kurang paham, bisa anda pelajari lebih jauh lagi mengenai apa itu ordinary verb, auxiliary verb, dsb pada pembahasan khusus.

Both ‘although’ and ‘though’ can be used to mean ‘in spite of the fact that’.

You can say ‘even though’, but you don’t say ‘even although’

‘Although’ and ‘though’ can mean ‘but it is true that’ to balance what has just been said.
His language skills are very good, although he could improve his maths.
Her behavior is generally good, though she does not like to share.

Only ‘though’ is used to mean ‘however’ at the end of a sentence.
You could have got this job but it’s too late now, though.
